Problem with windows 7 install

Hi all,

Just tried installing Windows 7. Its got to the stage where it says, Setup is Starting Services, and it repeatedly restarts, only to say the same thing again. Whenever it restarts, it says, Windows failed to start, this may be due to a recent hardware or software change. If I leave it, it simply returns to "Setup is starting services".

Has anyone experienced this?

Problem Solved.

I believe the problem was caused by a previous interrupted installation of Windows 7. Once I reformatted the partition and started again it worked perfectly.

Were you booting from the disc?

Nope. I'm not sure what exactly went wrong. I only booted from the disc the first time. After that it booted from the hard drive.

Yeah, if you'd have booted from the disc the second time I wouldn't have tried to load the borked installation from the hard disk and you would have been able to delete it from the Windows installer.
