A problem has got me stumped guys - wondering if you guys could advise?

I have recently upgraded from Xp to Vista Home premium which has replaced outlook express with Windows mail.

I have put in all the same settings for server, username and password etc but this doesn't seem to operate in the new email program.

It logs on to the mail server, searches for messages, find none and logs off again all perfectly well and registers no errors. It just doesn't download the messages that are siting on the server. I have to get on an old XP machine and use OE with the same settings to download the emails.

I ahve checked in the firewall and it says that it hasn't blocked any emails - i actually have 5 acounts on the email progrma and it is downloading fine from 3 of them

Tools --> Options... --> Advanced --> Maintenance... --> Clean Up Now... --> Reset

I think the problem is that my router isn't allowing the emails to come through - its a belkin wireless job - does anyone know how to set up a router to allow windlws live mail to operate?
