Problem with WintTV2K

I have recently bought a Hauppage WinTV Nova-T pci card from OCuk but am having problems with it. I can find all the digital channels fine and the picture is clear (the signal is strong). The problem is that it freezes and eventually locks the PC causing me to have to press the reset button!!

Any1 have a fix for this problem?

Yeah, the best fix is to ditch the Hauppage software, it really is just ****.

In the end I moved over to mediaportal, which was better. Eventually though I just gave in and bought a card not from hauppage (far better picture and sync with sound), and got XP MCE.

Tried vista MCE for a while and that is better, but the 14-day activation period was starting to annoy me, format every fortnight lol.

Use the drivers, but not the wintv2000 software.

Don't need to uninstall anything

Just use mediaportal instead

similar problem wih media portal, crashes when i go to full screen if it lets me get that far! hauppage website doesnt work any idea where i can get latest drivers for Nova-T?

Take a look at GBPVR. It's pretty decent and very well developed plus its free. Give it a google.

Thanks I'll give that a try but first i wanna try the latest drviers from Hauppauge but the support website doesnt work!! and elsewhere on the internet i can only find drivers for the nova-s...
