Problem

I've put this in general hardware because I dont know where the problem is coming from. When I boot up my computer, my motherboard tells you what it is doing, says things like completed power on self check and booting from the OS, when I get into windows now though my computer keeps saying Computer failed CPU test. It repeats it like every thirty seconds when I'm using it. I havent changed anythin for about 4 months and this has only just started to happen, I had a quick look and couldnt see anythin dislodged, anyone had a similar problem?

I have an nForce 2 motherboard by the way I think, any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

have you overclocked at all?

you sometimes get that msg with failed overclocks or alternatively if the cpu cooler is loose...

Open the machine up and check that the cpu fan is securely in place and also reload default settings in your bios....

that should do the trick
