Ever since upgrading to Vista/IE7 I am unable to access a certain website.
http:\\remote.northyorks.gov.uk\webmail

I can access the site fine on XP/IE6, any ideas why not on this machine? Anything to do with there having no www.?

It constantly tries loading the page but to no avail.

Cheers

Is this a "can't access the website" issue whereby IE either times out in trying to resolve the address, or an "IE7 crashes" issue whenver you try to go to that website?

If it's not resolving the name then I guess there's something about that site that Vista/IE7 just doesn't like. Dual booting is an option for you in the meantime, but so is using MS Virtual PC 2007 - take a look at this thread here for info on that:

I had a hell of a time trying to access certain websites using Vista Ultimate x64 and it turned out it was happening whenever a website used Java; the latest Java Runtime v6 (or whatever) available cured that ill, but I still sometimes come across a few sites that just plain refuse to load when running Vista.

If you don't know what Java runtime you have installed, then I'd suggest you uninstall the current one you have, reboot, head on over to Java.com and do a web-based install from there. A pain in the a**, I know, but it sorted some of my issues.
