Problems deleteing file. Plz help!!!

I have a .mkv file that will not delete.

Every time I attempt to delete the file I get:

The action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer
Close the file and try again.

I have rebooted several time & use a couple of file shredders, the file just will not delete :mad:

Any suggestions?

change to details veiw rather than thumbnails and turn off the side panel windows might be trying thumbnail

It'll have something to do with thumbnails being generated for the file.

Either find the section in whatever codec you have installed to disable it (might be haali media splitter) or boot in something like

Parted Magic or Linux Mint and delete the file

The file was broken & windows was attempting to create a thumbnail.
