Problems Getting Xbox Live to Work

Basically, i have a wireless router downstairs, which connects to my computer which is upstairs- and im hoping to add a ethernet cable from mine to the xbox 360.
However it doesnt seem to detect it, the lan just says limited or no connectivity, unless i manually give it an ip- it can share connection but it then cuts off my computers wireless :S

Any Ideas How i can sort this?

I think you need to bridge the connections or somethign in netwrok connections i read in a thread the other day? maybe this will help. i will try to find the post now.

Yep.. here it is.. i think this is what you are after.. i state exactly how you can set it up to work and someone does agree that those settings work.

You have to enable the Local Area Network in Network Properties and then right click the wireless internet connection and go to advanced, then allow other decices to connect to the internet using this connection.

Sorry to bring this thread up again but ive run into another problem -

Playing GoW online was perfectly fine until a few days ago - now it seems to constantly lag to that point that it becomes unplayable- i havent changed any settings and the only thing ive done is downloaded some xbox live demos. Any ideas what could be causing it?

Are you on your own connection? Is your internet speed fine? Tried any other online games on your PC? It might be your wireless signal is getting some interference from somewhere.
