hi.

this is all getting really confusing. i am trying to install vista on my machine and getting lots of problems.

when i get to a certain stage of the install it asks me if i want to install on hda1, hda2, or hda3, and which should be my swap partition but i don't want to swap anything so i dont know what to do here. also, what is yast? i haven't read any other posts that mention this........ i also get this error message:
Error installing packages which-2.14mdk.i586

also, i want to install that freebsd thingy as an addon device, but i see no option to allow me to do that. is vista not compatible with freebsd????

and what is this kernel thing it loads at the start, and then all this text comes down the screen like the matrix or something? my xp didn't used to do this.

i bought this disc off a guy down the local market and i'm really starting to wonder if it really is vista. it just looks SSSOOOOO different and, to be honest, rubbish.

do you think i have a copy of a vista disc here :D

If you seriously bought it from a guy down the market then I doubt its real as its not even out in a retail version yet! and the OEM versions have only been sent out this week!

Linux is another operating system if you didn't know. Don't ask me anything about it as I don't know. But it doesnt sound like you have Vista there!

so what about that freebsd hardware addon dongle thingy. is that something for connecting your router to your dhcp pings? i've tried to ping it with suse but that didn't work?? in fact suse doesn't ever work. never had any luck with it.

well ok. maybe i am a noob. can't see how thats funny :(

anyway, i have another problem. my toaster won't connect to my firewire 800 card, which means i can't create a scheduled task to make my toast.

honestly, i am just going to get rid of this computer. it is useless.

:D

right i am done now. better stop before i get banned.

sorry
