So i just had to reformat my HDD and re-install my OS so I have had to reinstall WOW. Fair enough, I was prepared for it, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've got past the disk parts, but now it's doin the updates (which take hours without problems) it keeps closing the programme and saying I can only install WOW as an Admin: but I am an admin, I am the only user. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

yes, you really shouldn't have done that

it will ruin your life, its worst than ogame!

yeah I may be, I m only putting it on worst case OP gets addicted to WoW pretty much what the rest have said

and I don't see what its got to do with "being cool" as i m not, I m pretty much enforcing what others have said, it may not rein once life if they are sensible, but poeple do go over the top and spend 12 hours per day on wow or simplier rather than going out

Please explain how installing a game can "ruin your life", or are you just trying to be cool and jump on the bandwagon?

Getting addicted to WoW is usually a bad thing for your social life, as I know my self. Luckily I've been free from it for about 4 months now.

Addicted to a game, just how pathetic do you have to be to get addicted to a game? I play Wow, and yet have a pretty healthy work and social life outside of the game. You see, there's this button that says "Exit Game" when you press 'Escape', you click that and then you go out into the real World and have fun. It's not difficult!

It just seems that everybody somehow likes to jump on the bandwagon and **** the game off, more often than not though it seems they're only doing it because of their own social inadequacies.

I'm not slagging off WoW. If I didn't think it was a good game, I wouldn't have played it for 4 years and had a lot of max characters.

As a WoW player, you should know how people spend way to much time on WoW, especially if you're in a hardcore guild. It is all to easy to get addicted to it.

And, IMO, you can't play any MMO for 2 hours a day and expect to progress in it.

its not only WoW, and it depends what person is playing it, I used to play archlord, can be as bad as wow no? the reason why i didn't play countless hours of it was because I got board of it, with friends yes you would have hell of a time.

the reason why everyone including me picks on wow is because the majoirty play WoW going by xfire and do get addicted and throw countless years away to a game. I have treid WoW i didn't like it I don't know why, but I liked archlord. I can't very well get addicted to a game because I get board of it.

*edit* I see why you made that comment against me earlier I should have guessed, and reworded it alittle reading back it was a little hard on wow as its not ONLY that game

I have reworded it, as I m not paying too much attention tonight, and I don't want to insult anyone, I can see why you are annoyed with us mocking/picking on WoW.

I, we, us pick on WoW is because we know most people play it, look on xfire no 1 game is wow by a long shot, not that I don't like it being there, and the reason why its whyyy ahead of any other RPG/Game is because some people do go over the top, like I keep saying its not just wow its other games simlier to it, some people throw thier lifes away on archlord or eve or even counter strike.

Open your eyes. The majority of WoW players are pretty much addicted. Anyone that has played knows this!

Stop speaking out of your arse. Anyone who's actually played WoW knows that Blizzard keep adding stuff to please the CASUAL gamer, who make up the majority of their gamerbase for WoW.

Also, even the most hardcore raiders, from Ensidia etc. have jobs, or go to school.

I bet they still spend every spare hour they've got on WoW.

you both have good points simple as that, as stated before its not hard exiting it and going to work, or to enjoy onces self out of game.

but some people most people here would agree that some people go to school/ college work, not everyone but some, and come home and play wow or something simpler till silly o clock in the morning and that silly o clock is probley 3 in the morning or maybe later, all you have to do is look on xfire, its there or simpler (steam)

I personaly think I know were this thread is heading, so I think I m going to back off here
