Problems Loading windows when Power has been off

Hey Guys need some help

I turned my PC off at the switch on the PSU and at the plug socket when I went on holiday. I came back turned it all back on and it wouldnt boot to windows it just frooze on the MOBO Screen.

I Took out CMOS Battery and replaced and problem was solved. But then after 5 minutes the CPU Fan on my EVO 33 stopped spining so I turned it off at the PSU switch. I then Restarted and everything worked fine.

Until today when I had to turn off my PC at the plug when swapping plug sockets. Come to turn it back on and it does not boot to windowsm, there is no windows Loading screen.

Can soemone please shed some light on what the hell is happening. It has only just starting doing this and seems that when ever the PSU switch is turned off it will not boot without resetting the BIOS.

Spec as follows:
P4 3.00
1 GB Vaule Ram
6800 GS
Asus P4S800D-X

What PSU do you have? It sounds like a PSU or Motherboard problem to me. Check the rails from your PSU to eliminate that.

Its a 400W ColorTek PSU that came with my Case. Im going to be getting a new PSu soon.

Ill check the Rails when I next reboot. I have noticed that these are not running bang on when I have been browsing through BIOS. Will i need a new PSU if this is the case?

They don't need to be bang on, most important thing is stable at idle and under load. Big variations (in voltage) are a bad thing (especially under load), small ones not great but not a problem and little ones nothing to worry about. As far as the actual number again you don't want a big variation and board sensors are notoriously inaccurate but you want them at least within 5%.
