There doesnt seem to be anywhere to post computer problems, so I thought here was most appropriate.
I seem to be getting more then my fair of BSOD's:
MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
0x0...9C (0x0...4, 0x8054D5F0, 0xB20...0, 0x00070F0F)
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
0x0...0A (0x0...E8, 0x0...02, 0x0...1, 0x866E4A16)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
0x0...D1 (0x0...60, 0x0...02, 0x0...0, 0xF7444A4BD)
The top one has been going on for ages at random times and infrequently. Whereas the bottom two are only recently and somewhat frequent.
But unfortunately this just isnt confined to Windows, when using Arch Linux I have been getting Kernel Panic's. Which leads me to believe that is a hardware issue.
At first I thought it was one of my hard disk drives failing, because Windows seem to keep wanting to run chkdsk on it and it would freeze after about 50%. Also when I had Arch Linux running it unmounted itself and then disappeared, could not remount it, said /dev/sdc does not exist.
BUT after taking it out putting it in my sisters computer with a full diagnostic (using tools from manufactures website) it came up clean, and it seems to be working in Windows fine (in the problematic computer).
Really not sure what to do next, I was going to just reformat Windows, but then Linux start to act up. Could it by any chance be my memory? Should I do a memtest?
Thanks, any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
