Hello I'm new here but I've been reading the forums for a long time. I'm having a bit of a problem installing my new rig. What happened is that I'm trying to install my Freezer Pro 7 on a DS3P witha e4300 processor and when I install the cooler and plug the computer to the power but the fun on the cooler only turns once and stops. I've also tried this with the one that came with the processor but the same thing happens. Can you please tell me how can I fix this?

Thank!!!

The problem is that I plug the power cable in and it turns once... The PSU is 550W and it is working properly but also that the fan carries on turning only once I unplug the power cable... Can you please help me because I'm getting desperate.

Thanks!!!

Sorry, i'm being a bit stupid understanding the problem here

When you say power cable, you mean the PC kettle lead?

P.S. bumping after 8 minutes? lol

I had a similer problem with a DQ6

It was suggested that I take the motherboard out of the case and place it on a wooden table top and try it that way. at least it would prove if it was anything in your case shorting out.

I found I had this problem with my computer also. It can be because the BIOS hasn't been set to run the fan at a high speed on boot with large coolers like that one. If the RPM is low it isn't enough to get it spinning, give it a flick with your finger to kick start it.

If that doesn't work, enter the BIOS and find your fan speed option. To solve my problem I set mine to full speed and it worked a treat after booting again. I run it full speed because its an Arctic Cooler, they're really quiet. But experiment with a tolerable noise level that gets it spinning properly.

Thanks mate, that did the trick but I have another problem now, I have a GeForce 7900GS 512MB graphics card and I connected it to the monitor with the vga to crossover converter but on the monitor it says "No Signal". The power supplier is 550W and it is connected to the graphics card.

No signal will mean there's a problem with the cable you are using to connect the 7900 to the monitor. Is it the first time you have plugged the card into the monitor?

Yes, the card has two of them and my monitor has a VGA connector. However, the card came with two VGA to DVI connectors. I plugged one of them to the monitor cable and to the card and there's no signal.

Hmm thats odd, with a new card and new connectors you shouldn't have a problem. Maybe try the monitor cable on another computer if possible? Just to make sure its working. I'd be surprised if its one of the connectors that came with the card.

What can I do to stop the cpu fan to stop once I turn on the power? Where do I have to go on the Bios and how long can the processor be without the fan spinning while I change the configuration on the bios?

What I meant is that when I start the computer the cpu fan moves once and then stops... is there a way I could permanently fix this by going to the BIOS, if I have to do that then I would have to do it without the fan on because it only spins once when I switch on and when I switch it off. Someone said here that I could change that on the Bios but how can I fix this problem?

are you trying to get it to display on 2 monitors or just the one from the 7900 if its just the one try pluggin the connector into the other dvi port on the graphics card if its 2 then this needs setting up in windows

in the bios there probably a fan control setting that you can alter to give the fan 12v all the time to get it spining properly or maybe a rpm sensor in there that wants the fan to be running a minimun speed

If u cannot get it workin from the cpu fan header try pluggin it into another header on the motherboard or get a adaptor so you can plug it straight into a molex connector from psu
