Hah! Nothing changes. I bought a couple of monitors direct from them about 6 years ago one of which turned up dead. Initially they wanted me to send *both* back and pay for return shipping. Like you I had to argue back and forth, but they eventually got it sorted without me having to pay anything. It really was like pulling teeth though, took over a week to get them to agree then shipping was another week IIRC.
