Problems using Spotify?

I'm getting this rather unhelpful error message when searching for an artist or when clicking on one of my saved artists. My connection is good and all other internet services work no probs. Can anyone else confirm that they have the same issue as me?

Google throws up tonnes of people having the same issues but there doesn't appear to be a solution

I'm on a 1-month free trial of premium and was hoping to stay with them, but ofc my continued custom depends on reliability.

if its a smart TV, unplug it and plug it back in, any other devices restart it then try.

Spotify does seem to have some issues.

I get the same when searching artists. First time I've had an issue for as long as I can remember though...

Yeah seems to be having problems at the moment - largely I've found it reliable.

@ Soundood - I'm using the desktop app.

No smart TVs (or TVs at all!) in my house.

I thought it was just my connection getting a little spotty, been having the same problems on and off all afternoon on the Android app. If I can get an album or playlist started it'll play without issue but searching around is largely borked.

Tried just now and seems to be working ok for me. Tried saved artists, playlists and searching. There did seem to be an update when I opened it so I wonder if that's fixed it.

i don't have this particular issue, but Spotify has been awful for me lately. Loads of lock ups and just generally feels sluggish and buggy. Hope they get things fixed soon because it never used to be like this :/

Had an issue for months now where it always restarts on the same song every time I open it. This is even through multiple reboots. Everywhere seems to suggest uninstall and reinstall but ain't nobody got time for dat!

Quite obviously a corrupted local file so you wont fix it otherwise.

Not seeing anything like that over multiple installs on different desktops and devices - occasionally a little slow starting up but not had any lag or crashes in use.

Get this sometimes on the windows pc app and on ios. The only cure I find is to kill the app and restart it. Very annoying.
