Hi guys, i really hope you can help me. Brace yourselves for impact!
I have the Samsung M3 1TB external hard drive that was given to me, unresponsive.
It appears in Device Manager in "This device is working properly" but does not show in My Computer.
In Disk Manager it asks me to initialize it and when i try in MBR mode it comes back with the error: "the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error". I have tried both 2.0 and 3.0 USB.
I have downloaded something called TestDisk and when launched the hard drive doesn't show.
I would prefer to send it off for data recovery as a last resort. It is under its warranty so i can't fiddle around with the insides if something else happens.
I really appreciate any help anyone can give me!
