Problems with cheap USB cables

Hi all.

I require some more USB cables with a micro connector (ones for mobile phones etc).

I bought some cheap ones online but they don't seem to work. My phone and mouse say they are charging yet are not, which has caught me out as my phone went flat overnight so my alarm did not go off.

Anyone had this issue?
Anyone know of any cables that actually work?

Yeah it seems they are cheap Amazon crap.

Not sure what to buy now. I don't want to keep spending £3 on a cable for it to arrive 2 weeks later from HK and it just be crap. Happened a few times now.

Sod it I just bought an OCUK cable - I never realised they sold the general tat bits
