I have built a new media centre and got it all connected up today only to find that when using the TV Out it was black and white. Initially i thought the problem was NTSC / PAL but all my settings were correct. After a little bit of googling i found some info on the sort of cable i'm using which is setup like below:

Code:
           |---- S-Video-----------TV
Scart-------- Audio Red - |
           | - Audio White |--Adaptor--TV

From what i've read the S-Video splits the picture and colour signal into 2 but the SCART connector on the back of my TV (Sony KV-S32 CS70U) doesn't allow me to change the input type so is only using the picture signal and not colour.

Is there a simple connector available i can plug into my graphics card which will convert to the correct format but still present a S-Video connection for my existing cable to plug into?

If not what do i need?

Also, i have the 64 bit version of ffdshow installed which is working fine with my divx / xvid avi's but the FF and RW buttons on the remote don't work. I can skip but not FF. Anyone got any suggestions?

Aye it does but i don't have any cables, was hoping there would be something i could put between it and my current cable.

Just checked and i have composite too, goes from S-Video to R/G/B. How do i get from that into scart including sound?

LOL I'm an idiot, had a quick peruse through the TV manual and found out that AV3 does let you use S-Video, i already had it turned to AV3 before i turned it on so it didn't use the S-Video bit. Plugged it back in, scrolled through all the AV chanels and it works :D.
