Problems with MobileMe

Does everyones contacts push to the iphone ok??
I have edited a contact then done a sync and it is still the old one on the iphone, which kinda sucks tbh.
contacts for me do sync eventually but like i said its all not true push it should be really quick...

sometimes syncing just doesn't happen unless i go into system prefs and press sync... right now there are some bookmarks in safari that got put there earlier today and they're still not on my iphone...

i'm hoping this is all just teething cuz i've paid my 59 quid and i want to be able to rely on the system :(

i have a question regarding syncing... the sync feature is on my menu bar at the top of leopard... but if i use that sync button to invoke a mobileme sync the isnc app pops up and tries to sync with an old phone i dont use anymore... any idea how to stop isync popping up?

for people having a problem with sending from the me account on the iphone (smtp.me.com failed), i have a solution for now...

the problem is that although the me account may be set up correctly on the mac, when you see it in the itunes sync box it appears like this:

it puts .mac stuff there when its a me account, dont know why.

due to this you will notice that in the account settings (on your iPhone) for the me account is has your mail set as ***@mac.com, and everything after the @ is uneditable...

what you have to do is delete the account on the iphone, and make it manually using the correct address and it all works great... make sure you dont sync the account with itunes as it will now create another (incorrect) one... mail account syncing is only doing the settings anyway so once they're on the phone they dont really need syncing anyway...

real shame all this is, mobileme i'm sure will be good but its one hell of a shoddy rollout :(

NOTE: this may only be a problem to people who used an old .mac account name from ages ago as a new me.com signup name... maybe...
