Hi All

Recently built a new rig and used the following:
MSI P55-GD80 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard [P55-GD80]
I5-750
Corsair DD3 4gb - 2 sticks
650 watt psu
ATI 4890 2gb

I set it all up as I normally would. However when I turn the machine on. Everything starts up, mobo power on, all the fans come on, gfx card lights up. But I get no display on the monitor (tried both dvi + vga) and no power to keyboard and mouse, both of which are usb.

Took the Ram out and booted up and I get no beeps at all. It sounds a thought the machine i booting but obviously this cant be the case. I realise this isnt a troubleshooting forum but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you tried with just one RAM module at a time, or perhaps swapping the RAM modules between each slot? That sometimes works.

Hope that helps :)

Take everything out of the mother board systematically, and keep going until you get some beeps... Including Graphics card, usb devices, etc.

Perhaps try resetting the bios too; remove it from the power supply, then take out the motherboard battery and leave it for 10 seconds. pop the battery back in and fire it up.

This has happened to me so many times in the past, sometimes taking things out and putting them back in again seems to magically work!

Let us know how you get on :)

Ok Ive taken it out bit by bit but still no use. Tried it with one ram tick, no ram sticks, no gfx card, no usb devices, nothing else i plugged in.
Not sure how to take the mobo battery out? I unplugged it from the psu.
Everything is new so not sure what the problem can be
