I know this is an OLD cpu but I like it, and considering the investment I put into the equipment to start with (and recently) I dont think my wife will let me buy the new DFI boards yet.

Anyway, I currently have my opteron 180 plodding along at 2.7ghz stable in OCCT for 1 hour. Did the superPI 38m test fine, but when I try to run 2 instances of Prime95, one core is flat out at 100% and the other sits at anything from 0 to 20%.
Ive tried installing 2 copies of Prime to 2 directories but when I try installing the second copy, it says it can only install once.

Id like to make sure my setup is stable with all 3 apps for piece of mind so please can anyone help me get this working properly.

I haven't used Prime for a while, but within one of the option menues, there's a setting to use 1 core. Set one of the copies to use core 0 and the other to use core 1

I downloaded what I think is the latest version from there website but it still doesnt seem to utilize both cores. Ive set the affinity of each copy to 1 or the other core and set the priority to above normal in task manager and it still seems to only max out 1 core.
In task manager it shows 1 instance running at 50% and the other at 0 - 15%.
Im stumped

Google for "Orthos", download and unzip it into a folder. Then run it. It is Prime with a nice gui and it will run 2 instances for you. If it dos'nt for some reason then check in device manager to make shure that you have both cores there.
