Set up this rig earlier this week. Specs in my sig, with a Xifi, 2 port sata card and a 5 port usb card plugged in the PCI slots.
Was getting no end of problems with booting into windows, sometimes a blue screen, sometimes locking up on loading windows, and sometimes locking up once I have logged in.
I at first thought it was the sata card, (which was plugged into the bottom PCI slot) and removed this. System boots and works fine.
Needing the sata card for the rest of my harddrives though I needed to get this working, tried various things in getting it to work in the bottom PCI slot, eventually tried it in the second slot down (where the usb card is, can't use the top one, 8800gts in the way) and it worked fine.
Tried the usb card in the bottom slot and it wouldn't boot again.
I've narrowed it down to either the cards being incompatible (IRQ conflict? - is that what its called?) or the bottom PCI slot not working.....
Which seems more likely?
