Problems with SLi

I now have 2 x XFX 7600GT XXX's runnings on a AN7 Sli SE motherboard and everything seems to run fine, but in games i get little green dots appear.

Have tried many drivers - both cards are working fine.

Any suggestions?
 
It could be that one or both cards are overheating.

Have you tried swapping them round or trying them indevidually?

Howa re they in 3dmark06 - especially the deep freeze test?
 
Those scores are very low so somethings wrong somewhere. You should be hitting at leat 4.5k with them in 06.

Does your mobo have a molex connector on it if you use SLI? If so is it connected?
 
Yes, ive had SLI 7600GT and that got 6k in 06. My 7900GS got 4.5k

Are you sure SLI is enabled? Are you using the bridge?

Try some different drivers as well
 
lol, yeah those scores suck, get higher with a single 6600gt

did you go from an ATI card and then just wack in an nvidia one without a full driver clean/format? coz driver conflict would make the scores that bad

also if the cards were overheating it would throttle the cores automatically and create bad scores...which would also explain the green dots in game

try one card then take it out and try the other card

then format

then try them again

if they still get rubbish scores...buy a new pc :P
 
No i went from a clean format to installing theese cards.

Thats 2200 SM2 Score. Not the HDR/SM3 score - so if your thinking of them both together then its about correct?

You didnt say it was the SM2 score!!

Well that looks about ok.

How many 3Dmarks do you get - the score in big numbers
 
yeah, when asked for the 3dmark06 score people mean the whole score it gives you in a big box after running the test, not one part of it
