Problems with SSH and Virgin BB

Does anyone else suffer problems with SSH and Virgin BB with dropped connections?

How often is the SSH connection dropping?
Are you using the superhub in router or mode mode?

it drops after about 2 mins of inactivity if I'm lucky. Router mode for suoerhub

Try modem mode.

no idea if this helps but spotted something about drop outs and ssh here, think as KIA suggested modem mode is a good suggestion since someone in the comments suggested same thing.

The content from the link looks like it will help. I'll give it a crack next time I'm at my sister's place (she's the one with VM - I'm using Sky).

I'm using slightly different settings to those in the link, specifically:

Code:

ServerAliveCountMax 600
ServerAliveInterval 10

This is for connecting to home from somewhere else. So the above is in the config file on my laptop. No problems with ssh since - though it may be more sensible to specify the client versions on the server.

Have you tried a different port other than the standard SSH one? Safer & might help the problem.
