Problems with USB mass storage

Hi, I have a Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB that I use in the car for music.
If I plug it into the PC to add music etc, it wont show up. I have to go into device manager and uninstall the mass storage device. I then unplug it, plug it back in, and all is OK. Once I'm done, I eject the device from the taskbar.
If I then plug it back in, I've got to start all over again.
It's never failed in the car.
Any ideas?

Have you checked in another pc? I had a similar issue with a conflict with acronis true image, albet a few years ago now.

You don't say what operating system your using...

If using Windows 8+ try disabling Fast Startup in Control Panel / Power Options / Choose What the Power Buttons Do

See if that makes a difference

I'm running windows 7 64bit, I haven't tried it in another PC. I will try and report back
