problems with wifi and firewall..

Ive just bought a DS lite and a nintendo wi-fi usb connector, managed to set it up ok but only connects when i turn off my firewall (pc-cillin internet security 14)

does anyone know what i need to do to enable the wifi usb dongle to work with the firewall ?

It seems the windows firewall causes no problems with the wifi, but i cant connect if i use pc-cillin firewall.

Any ideas ?

seems ive sorted this now, i created an exeption rule to allow the following:

Changes made:
I have added the following:

(allow all applications)

In and out allow tcp on ports 27900,27901,28910,29900,29901,29920

out allow tcp on ports 80,443

in and out udp allow on any ports

any one see any security problems with the above ?

I can see 65535 possible problems there.
Close all the UDP ports and only open the ones you need. Might also help with your other problem !

thanks for the reply, i did some searching before your reply and blocked port 1433 and 1434 which are as i have read the ports used by sql.

Im not sure what ports the ds lite uses with UDP, so i created a rule to allow all ports open to UDP and also created a rule blocking ports 1433 and 1434.

Im not sure if creating a rule that opens all ports and then creating a rule that blocks 2 ports works, will have to check with pc-cillin
