Problems with xbox live?

OK, was just playing Mirror's Edge when I was disconnected from live, first thought was I'd been caught by the ban-hammer. The strange thing is, when I go into connection test it passes all tests and connects to live perfectly fine, yet I can't sign into live on the dashboard?

Anyone else having problems?

sorry to hijack but didnt want to make a new thread, is this causing xbox live to be down cos i cant connect but all the tests say everything is fine.

It's down for maintenance.

The remainder of Xbox.com will be available with limited interruptions.

This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available this Wednesday.

Does anyone know if there have been actual speed issues with it lately as over the weekend playing COD5 i could only get 2 yellow bars on the in-game ping, and couldn't shoot anything unless it was 2ft away

Not had anything at this end, done the usual ISp check and modem/router reboot etc..?

Yup, speed check came out as normal (2.5Mb/750k) and I've rebooted the router. Ah well probably just due to the influx of about 200,000 people trying to shoot each other
