I've had the KE198 electric knife sharpener for a few days now, and I'm very impressed. It's gotten my globals much sharper than any other technique/contraption I've used, far far better than the crappy little manual ceramic wheels.
A warning, only use the coarse wheel on very very blunt knives, it will basically re-profile a knife edge and can really pull some metal off the blades. It's recommended that only the fine wheels are to be used to sharpen globals due to the very strong brittle steel used, which is what I've done to mine and ended up with razor edges. My only wish is that the device had and an ultra fine wheel to achieve a really polished razor edge, the edge achieved with the fine wheel is razor sharp but lacks the smooth ultra sharpness of a new knife.
Might see if I can polish them up a bit with my 5000 whetstone.
