That's not a bad idea, I might just get someone to hide the kettle plug.

heh. And don't forget all your spare plugs. Easier alternative might be to get your family/parents/etc to hide your ALL your keyboards. Even if you can turn it on,. theres not much you can do without the kb.

Onscreen kb foo :D

The batteries on my mouse died the other night, and while it was charging I still managed to waste time using the keyboard, tabbing my way through links :o

if its of any help i usally find i do a lot more productive work between 6pm and 12pm. but this could be due to lack of people distracting me.
I find I work better from 12am to 5am.

That seems to be my optimal working/studying time.

I don't know if there is a solution as such but I find the best thing to do is simply to make it so that you can't avoid doing the task you are putting off. If I could convince myself that I only had a week to study for exams when in fact I had four I'm sure I'd do better :o

I do sometimes find that setting myself fairly simple goals like reading to the end of a chapter or revising for an hour before I allow myself to do anything else works. Good luck to anyone who still has exams :)

Do some work else you'll drop out and become a miserable failure. Everyone will laugh at you. You'll be a complete waste of space. It'll be * years wasted.

Or not. But yeah, I motivate myself by exaggerating the potential consequences. And thinking that you've got * amount of time to waste afterwards always helps too.
