My XP product key isnt working, any ideas on whst to do guys...

Is it a dodgey version?

is it a different xp disc to the one you originally had?


there are loads of different types..

xp home retail
xp home oem
xp home oem dell/acer/hp/etcetc

xp pro retail
xp pro oem
xp pro oem dell/acer/hp/etcetc
xp pro corp


they'll only work with the correct disc..

phone ms if you're having problems

it says microsoft windows xp professional. This is my companies version. We have prob installed it a few times on other machines. I just cant understand why it isnt working...

If it's corporate (Which it probably is) then it should be fine...

I have no idea, only thing I can recommend is calling MS.

I take it you are having problems on install?

Where is the Product key written? On the Volume License disc from your work or somewhere else?

Goto the eula.txt file in the i386 folder on the CD. Post the EULAID at the very bottom of the file.

cool, didn't know you could identify them like that
