Productive use of Spare time?

Speak to your OC saying that you have quite a lot of spare time and would like to do something productive, can the RAF help you gain a new qualification or something along those lines?

Learning to play poker isn't really productive.

What you actually doing at uni? You can pick those books up for 20 quid second hand (for the two of them)

KaHn

Will be going to uni next year, and was definitely thinking engineering. I'm pretty much taking a gap year this year whilst studying physics/maths as distance learning courses while working.

Never really applied myself with maths in school as I always thought I was crap at it and never tried as a result. Finally decided to get off my ass and try with it this last school year and got an A, so moving on to the next level this year.

I'll probably pick them up second hand though, cheers. :D

Volunteer;

http://www.do-it.org.uk/

Thousands of charities looking for volunteers and you can give as much or as little time as you want. Many have training programmes if you want to learning something new (and often for free), looks good on a CV and you might enjoy it!

Air Cadets/Air Scouts might be a good use of current skills?

Im gonna approach the training wing at work and see if there is something beneficial to me I can use learning credits on.

Open University is something Im going to look into tonight too. Thanks.
