I'm finding this quite hard to take in, as I loved watching The Professionals when I was younger: it was my first proper grown up program that I was allowed to stay up & watch in the evening. I can still remember making my own CI5 ID card....

And, bizarrely, I watched Who Dares Wins Tuesday night.

Gutted to hear this. He and The Professionals was part of growing up. Who didn't want a 3litre Ford Capri after watching it .......

Just heard about it coming home from work, couldn't believe it. Used to sit watching the Professionals with my dad when I was a kid, loved the show. Very sad to hear he's passed away.

Lewis Collins was a bit of a hero of mine when growing up (along with Lee Majors). A proper bloke. I used to love The Professionals.

The never actually used the 3 litre... they initially used the 3.1 litre engines available for the "X pack" models before changing the cars for the leaner 2.8's later on.

I managed the Matchbox version of it none the less
