anyone know of a program that shows the exact hz while playing a game ?

basically im trying to see if the game im playing is at 144hz. all my other games are but this one is through the monitor osd saying its at 60hz yet has 144hz options. :p

so just want to confirm what its actually using.

i gave them a try cant see nowhere that shows your HZ ingame.

looking on google cant see nothing about it either or missing it.

do you know how to set it up.just want to see if its 60hz ingame or 144hz.thanks

Do you have a nvidia graphics card? if so i think there is now a setting which i found super annoying recently when trying to test something else, but for you right now it might be very useful. Basically, you can force "always use highest hz available" in the drivers and even if you wanted to set it to 60hz, it won't do it! until this setting is changed :D

Big difference between Hz and FPS. The progs mentioned, and others, will only report FPS.

However, you could half test it by making sure Vsync is on and seeing what your FPS get up to, whilst using an FPS monitoring prog - assuming your GPU can push it (look at the sky or floor is usually a good trick - if your framerate won't get past 60, then you know your monitor's Hz is set at 60)

I would generally trust what your monitor OSD reports for the Hz though, so if you can access that whilst in game, just look at that!
