Picked one of these up at the start of the week so sorry if the question is a bit daft!
As I understand, when in this (P) mode, the dial on the back is supposed to shift between different combinations of f/stops and shutter speeds but maintain the same exposure. If I want to increase shutter speed I can just dial a few clicks to the right. When I do this on my D40, my P changes to a P* as expected but I see no change to the display of f/stop and shutter in the display or the lcd. Nothing changes in the EXIF either, is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
