Program to check Drive Integrity

Hi there,

I need a program to check whether any of my data on a specific partition is corrupt.

Is there a good program out there?

Does Windows CheckDisk do this?

Does the following not do it:

Open a command prompt & type:

chkdsk c:/i

Where "c" is the HDD/partition?

I know how to use to - i was just wondering if that does the job? Does it actually check whether the data is corrupt?

chkdsk "x":/i appears to do so, as the first check it runs is "chkdsk is verifying files...."

I just did this via the windows option (right click on drive -> properties -> tools) and checked both boxes.

Its finished saying the check is complete - it didn't show any errors - so am i to assume the drive is error free or does it dump the results somewhere?

No it tells you if anything is wrong.
