Program to monitor chipset temperature

Ive wandered about this as well, i use coretemp for temperature readings and also have hw monitor and asus pc probe2, hw monitor lists, SYSTIN TEMPERATURE 25'c and pc probe lists mb as 25'c, i assume theese are the same reading, also i take it this isnt the NB chip reading, although i used a temp probe on my NB heatsink once and it was reading 30'c.

My mobo reports System Temp 40oc, is this the NB temp or is there a probe on the motherboard somewhere that measures the ambient temp inside the case so to speak? As its reported as system temp it seems abit kryptic :(

I downloaded Bizarre's MCHTemp for the P35 chipset and it says I'm at 83C* under load. That can't be right, the copper on the board doesn't feel that hot, its only at 3.6Ghz too.
I've now set it to the absolute maximum 4.1Ghz which uses much higher voltages for everything since its an old C0 and the MCHTemp only reaches 78c, very odd.
I'm doing some research into NorthBridge stability as I believe it is overlooked and could cause nasty surprises for some if it errors. Burn test and Prime don't test the Northbridge, I've come up with my own special stability test which is more sensitive than Burntest.
