program to monitor network statistics?

what would be the best program to monitor network statistics ? the local ins and outs as well as the internet ins and outs with a graph and some detailed exports to excel maybe or whatever really ?

Does your router support SNMP?.

If so there's quite a few which will graph that data etc.
