program to turn pc on / timed

Hi running a computer at home. Windows 7 64 bit.

Is there any free programs out there that can turn the computer on at a pre set time and then off again.

I expect this will actually be a sleep / hibernate rather than a full power off.?

Smartpower is pretty decent, I've used it in the past.

However, you could just use a scheduled task, under conditions telling it to 'Wake the computer to run this task'. Given that you need to have an action, just load a command prompt or something, cmd.exe /c exit, which will automatically close it. Then rather then shutting down just put your computer to sleep.
