I'm a bit bored and since we're having a fairly quiet Christmas period once I thought I'd use this as an opportunity to brush up on my programming skills as I haven't written much code for a while. The only problem is I never have any ideas... 
Ideally I'm looking for something practical I can work on, rather than just solving Project Euler puzzles (which is fun, but a different kind of fun). So if anyone has any ideas, I'd very much appreciate the suggestions.
