Programming ideas

I'm a bit bored and since we're having a fairly quiet Christmas period once I thought I'd use this as an opportunity to brush up on my programming skills as I haven't written much code for a while. The only problem is I never have any ideas... :o

Ideally I'm looking for something practical I can work on, rather than just solving Project Euler puzzles (which is fun, but a different kind of fun). So if anyone has any ideas, I'd very much appreciate the suggestions. :p
 
Just some kind of general ideas:
Parser for a fictional programming language
Calculator
Bejeweled rip-off
Alarm clock
Text based adventure game
Twitter client
 
Thanks for the ideas! I especially like the Twitter client and media library organiser. Hopefully this should keep me busy during the holidays. :)
 
Also thinking of trying to learn ios development these next few months but need a decent idea to keep me going, I tried this time last year but after creating my first basic one page calculator in the stanford uni lectures I kind of stopped, I need some kind of drive to help me learn. :)
