ok so i have a problem where some of my programs open multiple back ground processes and dont appear on screen, i have to go into task manager and close all the processes then try again and again until it works.
the 2 main ones are league of legends and playstation now. any idea how to stop this as its driving me mad

Do you mean they open multiple versions of themselves? or they open several alternate things?

It's normal for this to happen either way it can be many things, chrome for instance each tab has it's own line in task manager as it eats more ram than any browser to speed it up, i can only imagine that the psnow is running a few background processes as well lets say, 1 for connecting 1 for gui 1 for the controller.

I would not worry about it :).

guessing its multiple versions of them selves as when i load up league it tells me there is already and instance running "click ok to close and open a new one"
when i look in task manager it says
league client.exe
league client.exe
league client.exe
and for ps now its the same it just has 3 playstation now launcher.exe

Yeah to see that is perfectly normal :), everyone get's the same thing, i just checked with psnow and i have the same thing occurring on both my main desktop and three virtual machines.

It's not a "duplicate" it is a different process "thread" from the same exe.

ah fair enough, still cant figure out why it closes to the task bar after the main ps logo dissapears though
