***Programs u couldnt live without!***

Good thread! In no particular order mine would be:

- WinRAR
- Nero
- VentriloMIX
- Firefox/Thunderbird
- Daemon Tools
- CCleaner
- F-Prot AV (mem usage soooo low!)
- Winamp
- UltraISO
- K-Lite Codec Pack

EDIT: Tuneup utilities 2006 - Just tried the registry defragmenter with this program and it finally got rid of the 2-3 second delay I was getting at startup (loading settings....) - YESSSSSSSSSS :D! - (I found this particularly annoying as I couldn't work out what caused it)

The ones that haven't been said previously:

BOINC - For all that distributed computing
Klipfolio - Brilliant RSS dashboard thing for all my tech news
Autoruns - Lets me manage everything under the sun that comes up at startup
NetMeter - Shows bandwith usage and logs daily/weekly/monthly amounts
Avast - Best free AV software
CDex - Great CD Ripper
Filezilla - Excellent FTP client (and server!)
DivX/XviD - The best video codec there is (bar possibly H.264)

All are free of course :)

Autosizer - opens selected program into full sized windows - I am only running at 1024 x 768 on a 15" CRT so I can't stand it when I open a program and it is 3/4 of the screen size.

I have just started experimienting with Firefox and Opera tonight, I think I prefer Opera.

I have also recently installed Thunderbird which I really like but I can't access the SMTP without having an ISP account with my provider - currently looking for an alternative.
