Project: 900D dual loop

Looks awesome! Fantastic job on those tubes. i was tempted with a dual loop on mine but it was tight enough with one. Don't really have anywhere for my HDDs to go.

Maybe next time :D, made me want one now lol.

I am typing this message from my PC! At last no need to be using my phone to update this log. Although the computer is built and running I have some issues which are close to being resolved.

I decided to buy an Aquaero 6 XT as I have heard many good things about it and seeing as I had two Aquaero flow readers I thought why not. However this has now raised a very big issue. The EK D5 PWM pump does not comply with Intel's PWM specification, and apparently no one else apart from Aquacomputer offer a D5 pump that complies. This has resulted in my pumps not posting any RPM figures in Aquasuite and I am unable to control the speed at which the pumps run at. I have tried running the pumps from the CPU header on the motherboard and again no RPM figures and no ability to change pump speed.

There is a simple enough workaround for this but I don't think I am allowed to link to another forum so I won't. However if you need advice please PM and I will give you the link. It involves buying a few electrical components which Maplin stock. It requires;

5.1v Zener Diode
3.3k ohm resistor
560ohm resistor

I am about to go and pick these components up along with a cheap soldering iron and hopefully I will be able to get my pumps running from my Aquaero via PWM.

Pastel fluids arrived from Mayhems so I will be draining loop and filling with pastels. Apart from that I just need my bespoke cables and it'll be done.

Excellent stuff, still want to see some pictures though :D
Just wondering what temperatures your getting as the paralell loops must aid the temperatures.

So the milk and stawberry milkshake have been added to the loops. I am actually quite happy with the pink, I was thinking black and white but I am happy I went with pink. This is only a quick picture as I still have stuff to do. I am still in the process of setting up the Aquaero. I am also waiting for the bespoke cables to arrive.

I played a bit of Battlefield 4 yesterday. Every setting completely maxed @ 4k. According to MSI Afterburner all three Titan X's were running at around 60% utilisation and didn't get beyond 43 degrees celcius. Each card is running at 1400mhz and 7800mhz on the memory, they go higher than that but I don't think I will push much higher for now as there really is no need, plus I prefer a quieter system.

CPU didn't get above 40 degrees and that is with a minor overclock to just 4.25ghz. This CPU seemed to be a good clocker, I was getting 4.7ghz at I think around 1.26. I reckon I can get it running at 5ghz fairly comfortably but like with the graphics cards I don't think I will push it that high as I prefer the quieter fans & pumps.

Both temps had the pump running at 4000rpm with the max rpm at 4850.

I will get some benchmarks done soon along with quality pics once the last few bits are done.

Looks nice, only thing I would have done different is fully spray that case white, would look great with the colour scheme. Perhaps future mod :P?

Excellent work, really like all the pipework and dual colour scheme, very nicely done.

Right, off for a smoothie now... ;)

i tried to order some parts for my 900D case but it seems the Mid plate long ,the Lightbox, and the motherboard tray is no longer available . wonder why this is . its put me back a bit on my build now thinking of acrylic then carbon wrapped now .

very nice build by the way .

Sorry for the delay in updating this thread, I have been working abroad recently so hadn't been able to do much. I have added the custom cabling and added some lighting. I have decided to order a CaseLabs Magnum SM8. I was never particularly happy with the 900D and although it is a large case it just isn't quite large enough. I know I have wasted a lot of money on the 900D especially when you consider I have spent another £150 ish on ColdZero components but there isn't much point in spending over £7k on a pc and not being happy with it. Due to work commitments I probably won't be able to strip everything down and re build for another month or so I will update when I start transferring parts across.

If you speak with the owner he does bespoke parts, I would imagine he could do these for you. Also he often revises parts to make them even better, perhaps he is in the process of upgrading these parts? If you send him a message he responds quickly. Also they have a forum which you could ask on.
