Project Air Cooled Monster

Very nice! Those 780's do look the nuts. Really liking that case too, got me thinking of upgrading my 300r now!

Your 300r is a very nice case. You can have more fans than me. I was actually thinking a might need to get a mesh to replace the window on mine with but they're unavailable everywhere.

Nice build mate, i really like your choice of HSF and gpu. i agree with you, the 300r is a very nice case, with pleny of room for fans, im using one myself, ive got 2x 140s in the front, 2x 120s in the top, 1x 120 in the side window and a h80i push/pull on the rear.
Its a great case for the money, its not expensive at all.
I had trouble getting a side window for my r4, keep looking though and one will pop up eventualy.

Thanks guys. Was thinking the release of the 780 TIs and probably faster processors are available not to mention 8 terabyte hard drives. All this computer stuff is just geek porn to me.

Is it time to upgrade yet? Should I?
Don't think some Star Citizen would like lowly quad cores any...
It gives good workout for 12c/24t and without SMT's extra threads majority of cores would be fully occupied:

Also next-gen consoles coming in fall/before Christmas bring basically non-boosting variant of 8c/16t Ryzen 3700X into mainstream.

Though fall is also when AMD should release improved Zen3 architecture.
X570 board and well priced 3700X for now and then upgrade to 12/16 core Zen3 from discount in two years would be longest usage life path.

Intel is only bringing out 6th gen Skylake rev5 on 14nm++++++++ node with Chernobyl high heat output.
