Hi there

Decided to build myself a gaming PC, been using a laptop for last few years.
Wanted something relatively small and neat so fits on desk without taking up too much space, so going with a Micro ATX build and cramming some pretty beasty powerful products in there, fingers crossed they will fit, so the parts list is:

I've built the system and its up and running on latest BIOS. Not installed the GPU yet as was originally going with an RTX 5070 been the most powerful sub 260mm long GPU, but noticed new Gigabyte 5070 Ti V2 OC is 261mm long, so it is worth the gamble of seeing if it will fit or not, Jonsbo state 260mm maximum GPU length, so tonight I shall see if this 261mm card fits.

Not messed with PC's for years but so far will say the case seem easy to build in, system booted fine, updated BIOS to latest revision and as basic setup in BIOS I've set the following, LOOKING FOR ADVISE HERE PLEASE:

Mode: Performance X3D:

So I've enabled EXPO, PBO and Re-size bar, assuming all correct to do for max efficient performance, what is EUP? Energy saving mode?

Having not build a setup for years which way back then would have been Intel, the initial voltages seemed high, 1.35v for CPU, 1.45v for memory and 1.25 for SOC. I've used PBO curve set too negative 30 to get CPU down to 1.20v and reduced memory to 1.35v and SOC to 1.20v am I on right track or going in wrong direction, what would be good targets to aim for, bear in mind the case is small and basic cooling.

X3D Gaming Mode is disabled by default, but it says will make games faster so should this be ENABLED, any reason it defaults to disabled?

PPT is AUTO, but when I select Performance Profile it defaults to Manual and defaults to 170,000 should I return this to AUTO or is 170,000 a good number, what even is PPT?

Some more screens if people can review and suggest settings please:

Apologies for screen overload, but having reviewed my settings which ones should I change and to what values please?
Wish me luck tonight with fitting a 261mm long GPU into a 260mm length case. :D

That curved screen is triggering me.

1.35-1.45v is normal for 6000MT DDR5 RAM - no harm getting it lower and can help with lifespan especially in a smaller case, but nothing to be concerned about.

keen to see that GPU in that chassis. Perhaps one of the coolest and most unique cases we carry at the moment.

It's nice to see a staff project being posted - hell lately it's good to see any projects being posted; they're a bit thin on the ground. Obviously those that are are fabulous....and I clearly have no bias there ;)

Can't help with the AMD settings I'm afraid - an old school Intel man like you. Running an 9800X3D but still only in a cheap air cooler until I get further so have left it stock at the moment :o
I think I can help you with EUP though. It's an EU Power thing where the computer has to use less than a watt (or some fraction) when it's off. Basically it goes more 'off' than normal and the upshot is you lose Wake-On-LAN....which is either import to you or irrelevant. Could well be other stuff like USB ports powering down and not charging devices when off and not providing wake-up but WOL is what kills it for me.

Just so little to get really excited about sadly - I'll try and entertain when/if something comes along which is a bit more interesting in the CPU space hah. But stuff like the 285K, even theoretical 290K, 9950X3D2, etc. do nothing for me.

X3D gaming mode on my (non Sapphire) board disabled the non X3D CCD which you won't have to worry about but also disabled SMT, I'd try it and check task manager to see what it does for you.

Kills multithreading performance from my testing, supposedly might benefit the odd older gamer, so left disabled.
I cannot find a way to adjust the 100MHz Bclk anywhere in this motherboard, maybe an oversight by Sapphire.....

Only a 5070 Ti? Surely nothing less than the new £5k RTX 5090 will do? :)

The case supports a maximum of 260mm long GPU (Micro ATX), but I've gambled and got the new Gigabyte V2 OC SFF which is now smaller at 261mm, making it worlds smallest 5070 TI, trust me its a tight fit:

Manage to get it in by remove front facia and fans, plonk GPU in and re-install fans and front facia, all fits, nothing catching. :)

I like that case. Good to know your able to fit the Gigabyte SFF gpu in there. Looks a nice compact build

Just make sure it is V2 as the none V2 are bigger, the V2 is much smaller and only one on market that is so small.

although this is of no help nor use to you whatsoever
I have a similar associated motherboard and I really like how the bios is on these boards.
I dont know why I just find it really easy to navigate and just feels like Im not using a ui
from the 80s or something. I don't know I just really have to say I like these motherboards.

Yes....and the BIOS is keyboard-only, mainly blue and goes on about AMIs! :p
....and yet, contrary to Mark's protestations, those were the days! The days when your fingers knew just how many presses of the keys would get you what you knew needed to be, faster than your eyes (or at least the eyes of the lookers-on!) could follow.

I miss those Phoenix Award BIOSs... kinda got bored of OC once the BIOS had mouse support :D
