Project Awakened releases Unreal Engine 4 tech demo.

Phosphor Games – the team behind the customisable action game and Kickstarter hopeful Project Awakened – have released an Unreal Engine 4 tech demo, detailing some of their progress with the middleware. It’s clearly early days in the UE4 transition, but it shows off some of the detailed textures and effects possible with the engine. Also some seriously prominent arm veins.

Does anyone know of any title release dates using UE4?

It really does look like a tasty engine, with what we saw in the PS4 demo, hopefully there is some kind of PhysX type gpu effects too for AMD users.

Maybe Gears 4 on the new Xbox. Gears 1 was a showcase for UE3 after all.

That's no use for me, I have Gears 1 and 2 sitting in the cupboard for my sons 360, never played them yet tbh.

I did some searching Tommy, as the Unreal Engine 4 look sweet but the games metioned so far are not for me

Cheers greg, although you should be far too busy right now with the new toys rather than helping your old buddy out.

Knew about fortnite, might be OK, but I'm looking for more of a fps/3rd person shooter.

The other one, don't think it will be for me especially if a moby is your main weapon of choice as flares will probably be in short supply-or you just run away, not my cup of tea at all.

I was hoping StarWars 1313 was going to use UE4 but it's 'just' a modified UE3 engine although it does look well good:

You're missing out mate. Horde (on gears 2 and especially 3) is the nuts. Badly wish it was on PC... It'd look so, so good.

Looks like the TFU games, which I wasn't a fan of. Still waiting on JK / KotOR / Battlefront to make a comeback. But it's set in the mysterious depths of Coruscant, the lore nerd in me is very excited.

Would love a re-make of the original Dark Forces using a modern day engine. Or what about an X-Wing versus Tie Fighter? So much material from the Star Wars universe for there only to be a handful of decent games out there!
