I have to say, that this blue colour is really nice :) Still many parts need sanding and painting. Here is some progress on that direction

Really nice looking build there.

Loving the use of vallejo paints; I've used them for years (not for this use) and they are fantastic.

First time using this paints as well, have to say I'm impressed. Definitely will use them for my next build :)

Subbed.

That blue is great! Can't wait to see if under proper light. Love the cutting!

It's even more nice under UV light :) I've already try that:D

Ok,what is this white peace of something.....no one? This is .999 pure silver :D And this will become silver kill coil :)

Let's start

Firs the tools, usual ones for my project

3.3_zps6yucuk5m.jpg

4.4_zps84h55ei0.jpg

The silver is very hard after the rolling mill,so need to become softer. For that reason one more tool is added

5.5_zpsebzgqu2d.jpg

Cutting

6.6_zpsggjvwi5k.jpg

Filing

7.7_zpsj331joho.jpg

14.14_zpsq6wr9ymr.jpg

Even more filing

15.15_zpscbfvgax9.jpg

Scraping

8.8_zpskxhlzlcx.jpg

One side ready, marking the other one

10.10_zpsjcrkkkus.jpg

11.11_zpsfibfk7cz.jpg

Cutting

12.12_zps25rwtbfb.jpg

More scrubbing

16.16_zpsds4efsxy.jpg

Time for sanding.I will start with 600 up to 2500.Reason for that is,silver is very hard to polish.Especially the pure silver is almost mission impossible , always goes back to his original colour.

17.17_zpsk9rnd6da.jpg

18.18_zpstztuxglu.jpg

19.19_zpsjodaztrw.jpg

20.20_zpsupewifhs.jpg

Sanding with 2500 sandpaper by hand

21.21_zpsn2oxlcxd.jpg

22.22_zpslqtkflmh.jpg

Polishing

23.23_zpsmfv0l8is.jpg

24.24_zps4jggud7j.jpg

Success :D

25.25_zpsvbaupioo.jpg

And the final product :)

26.26_zpsziaxc810.jpg

27.27_zpsbnoip4ad.jpg

That is all for today lads. Hope you like my new silver coil. Stay tuned for more :)

You wouldn't happen to be a Marine Engineer to trade would you? Just seems like that sorta thing that fits, all that manually filing etc. The g-shock also ;)

:)I wish to be one,but I'm not.I use to work as a jeweller for very long time (not in Uk) ,that's why filing and cutting are my passion :) By the way I'm a big fan of your project Midas. That gold theme is really awesome! I'm planning something in silver for my next project :)

I just managed to paint all the parts from my water cooling loop. Took me longer than I expected . I found, that painting acetal plastic is harder than doing the same with other plastics, without proper preparation. Any way, results are good :) Currently I'm assembling all the parts together. I'll do some quick leakage tests to make sure everything is in order. So the photos will come soon :)

Small update from Project Blue :)
