Hi all,

Anyone running an online championship or has a group of people that meet up for a race regularly?

Been sim racing for years and currently running AC and Pcars2. Just looking for some good clean racers to race with.

Cheers

We do have a race now and again but predominantly it is a time trial championship of 6 randomly generated car and track combos, each combo is open for 1 week. There is three leagues with promotions and demotions at the end of each championship and other good stuff like full Telemetry which is easily compared to other drivers.

Runs off an ios app or a pc program. We have sim drivers from pc, Xbox and playstation using pads, full rigs and some in vr.

One final thing is it is fixed set up with real driving aids so we are racing the time of the driver not the driver and mechanic.

Just had a member get to the final of the Renault pcars2 e sports championships.

That looks great. Like the idea of time trials so you can jump on whenever you have spare time.

Do I just sign up on the site then download the program?

Cheers

Yep, sign up down load the program, dependig on if you are a wheel or pad user you have to choose loose or stable settings somewhere, I forget where, and jump on in. If you get in before midnight this wednesday you will get in on race 1 of the 13th Championship. Somehow it will tell if you modify your set up and invalidate your laps so it is all fair etc.

I have been on it since the 9th Championship. Good community as well. A few members have helped me set up a base shaker set up on my rig etc through the message system and the facebook group.

Really such a great idea as you get to drive cars and tracks you may never choose and it is all random generated in advance with car and track combos used being removed so we have some distance to go with no repeats.

For transparancy I do not own or operate it. I am ROSSinHD (league 2) on there.

We are racing on Thursday night if anyone is interested. Someone is through to the online Final of the Renaultesports comp and needs to practice racing against real people on Monaco/Azure Circuit in the Renault Megane Trophy 2009...

:)

This sounds great, will definitely be on board when I get my rig sorted out.

I run 4 with SimCom4 in chassis mode and you get the extra immersion of the seat rumbling at the right corner when you hit bumps and kerbs. There is some rumble when the car starts to slide, understeers, or locks up, but it’s mainly immersion, amazing combined with vr.

I am really interested in a rumble system for my VR/G27 setup, what system do you have ?

It may be something I look in to once I've got my new cockpit set-up. Do they shake the house much or is it subtle?

Sounds interesting. Time to install thw G29 which is sitting in the box since November

Mine is on a concrete floor, with basic transponders so minimal vibration. Sometimes it can vibrate a lot, but tbh you can tune the volume of all the effects as desired. I turn engine rumble down as it's too strong at default and drowns everything else out. My son's bedroom is above and on occasion he has said he's noticed it. The other problem is the constant small vibration causes my mouse to vibrate off the edge of the keyboard tray onto the floor.

@ROSSInHD forgot to ask you how the shakers are working...love mine can't race without them now, just feels wrong.

Born, only have the two for now doing rear right and left wheels through Sim Commander. Fantastic is the only word to describe it, I race on VR 100% of the time since ditching my triples and it adds to the immerssion factor but also I think I am faster now because I have an idea on what the rears are doing. Have another two shakers and amp on the way but they are currently sitting at the post office somewhere as I lost the "while you were out slip" so I have to wait for them to find it in their sweep.

My rig is in the spare room and on the other side of the wall is my 3 year olds bed and it doesn't wake him up. The wife can hear the vibrations in the living room which is directly below but nothing serios. My rig is the Playseat Evolution and it is just on a play seat mat and then carpet. With fine tuning you will easily be able to accomodate sufficient shakes whilst being subtle. Cannot recommend sim commander and shakers enough, out of everthting I have bought for the rig they are the best just beating VR by a small fraction.

There is a new VR place locally with 5 or so suites, one running Pcars2 on a next level motion system. I want to try it out but worried It will lead me to ordering one as that is the next step.

What shakers are you using Ross?

I've already decided I'm going full motion, funds already allocated, just need to do the kitchen first lol. This is the one I'm going for, http://www.prosimu-shop.com/en/simulator-t1000/73-t1000.html , the other type like this one, https://dofreality.com/ which I also looked at, have a bigger movement range but seem to need to be tuned more.

These are pretty much the shakers I have https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0034JI3EE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Top whack prices, 5.1 sound card (£20) 4 shakers (£120), 2 lepy 2024A (£60) amps and the connecting wires (£12) , plus SimCom4 software ($89) works out cheaper than the expensive bass shakers usually touted, this setup can rattle my teeth at times, so the expensive kit must be insane.

Exactly the same as Born2BSlow has posted.

If we are lucky enough to have a second child I will be given up my mancave for their bedroom so we will be converting the garage to a 2 story cinema / games / mancave so thats when I will go full motion.
