Project Corsus Thea

RealTemp gives a nice overview.

Just to put these in context, i get between 32 and 37 on idle, 50 - 60 playing BF3 on max settings (there are normally a lot of sfx very close to me, i am a magnet for sfx). I haven't done any load testing like i have read others doing. Its a games machine after all!

Thank you Mr Muel :) I am going to rebraid the connectors myself with white stuff. I want to find a decent one that will be a good solid colour, i don't want it looking washy under the bright white lights.

tried going into drive management and formatting the vertex, either that or i think its called achronis disk quite to force initalize and format if its not bricked :)
otherwise send it back on warrenty :)

I have made the windows see the drive, it is also now in my computer :D Windows is not letting me format it however.... In disk management it says it is a system disk. Is this because i had Vista installed on it before? I formatted it whenever i installed it in this rig (using windows disk) and windows says it is empty.

Ahh, MDPC braid dude, there's nothing better IMO. I have some bought from here second hand, much, much better than either the Bitfenix or NZXT pre-braided extensions I have.

Howdy gents o/

I have just whacked some new storage in the rig as i was uber low on space. I now have 2x 240Gb Patriots in stripe for programs and a 2Tb WD for storage.

I was looking to compare the performance between all my drives out of interest but i am not sure what the best program is, or which site to trust.

I trust the opinions of the people who frequent these forums, can someone chuck me a trusted link please?!

Thank you :D

Yeah, Whack another GTX 670 in there. Its a pretty big improvement imo. 2 Way SLI GTX 670's for me run everything on pretty much the highest settings at 1080p, 1.5 years later! Though some games I have to turn down the filters a little bit.

I would love to grab another 670 :) Sadly this rig still excels in everything i throw at it, so i can not justify another card. It will just have to be another rig when this one lets me down! Sadly my philosophy of, buy once, buy it properly means stuff doesn't have to be renewed as much as i would like :p

Bart, was it seriously two years ago??? Jings, doesn't time seem to stand still when in fact it is galloping by...

Anyone any suggestions for a safe HD benchmarker?

1080 going to be held back??

Hello again folks!

Rather than refer to this post i thought i would just add to it. I hope it doesn't cause too much confusion!

I have pre-ordered a 1080 Strix and am slightly worried that my existing hardware will hold it back.

I did some digging and followed the advice from here. My results were,

The graphs are CSGO, Path Of Exile, Total War - Warhammer and XCOM2 respectively.

The results surprised me as CSGO was very demanding (circa 80%) when compared to XCOM and TW-WH, which I would expect to be tougher on the CPU.

My rig has not changed, I am still running a GTX670. Can anyone explain these results or point me to the appropriate information please?

P.S. CSGO is running @ 4K, all others are running @ 2560x1440.

Thank you in advance!
