Project Dad build

Very nice and clean.
Next time maybe cut a hole in the original panel to place the window?

How much did it cost in total?

I don't have the tools or experience at the moment to go that route. It's something I would like to do next time when I have a bit more time for a build.

Total cost including windows 8 and the £50 steam voucher I'm buying was just under £500.

Very nice build a bit much on the paste though? :p
I always use a card to spread it evenly and thinly about the surface and about half comes off on the card anyway.

It's a technique that hasn't failed me yet :)

tidy build. I like the plate hiding the PSU. is it shielded on the underside or is it just for show? I have thought about putting a heat shield in above mine to stop the heat getting to the rest of my case.

The plate hiding the PSU is just on the side, the bigger problem in this case is all of the heat from the system rising into the PSU.

Im not to far away if you want to borrow my multi tool would be easy enough to do.
Thanks for the offer, too late for this build but might take you up on that in future. Im already thinking of another build which I would probably make a window and use thinner slightly tinted acrylic.

nice, can i ask what camera was used to take the pictures?
Its a cannon 600D with a Sigma 18-55 f2.8 lens :)
