Project David

Currently got a 460W Fanless that I've been given to test for the last 5 months. Max draw i've had is 500w and shes still going some!

Please can you post more photos on the case

The X-460FL is 160x150x86mm.

Can't post any more pics yet as I don't have the case at the moment. It is at the powder coater's. Internally it is exactly the same as the SG07 though so a quick google image search should give some good pictures.

Says PSU is limited to 12.2 inch = 309.88 millimetres

What gubbings you having powdercoated? The thing is already black!

Not meaning or wanting to be an ass but it says MAX size of PSU

AH! Hot powdercoating i hope!

You are being an ass because its clearly a typo. The case itself is barely more than 12.2" long so unless you fit nothing but a PSU that is clearly an incorrect figure.

Remember it is exactly the same internal structure as the SG07 and now read this:
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=261&area=en

Limitation of PSU
140mm (remove VGA Card if you want install up to 170mm)

The defence rests.

The acsued rests. It's been one of the day at work with 30+ different specs of things being asked of me. Pending length of GFX is pending size of PSU.

I'll have a good old play when she comes and see what i can do!

Hurry up with more pics of the braiding

I brought the same PSU in the end however I can't stand the look of the cables. I have seen the tutorial in the case forum but not for getting inside the PSU itself. Is it a case of just braiding as far down the end of the PSU end as possible and heatshrinking it on?

I have taken mine apart so the ends of the braid will be inside the PSU so you won't see them. If you dont want to do that then you just have to try to get them as close as possible.

They are coming have had many internet issues but they are sorted now. Kind of ran out of braid so had to order some more. Going to try to get the PSU done before I go away on the 16th.

Right didn't do any work to this over the Christmas period because...it was Christmas and I was at work. But I have started again...a bit. The PSU is now fully braided up but I still have not got anything back from the powdercoaters so it is all just sat under my desk gathering dust.

Apparently the case could not be shot blasted as the metal is too thin and it would have ripped the case to shreds so the guy had to send it off to be chemically peeled which is taking a while so may be a week or two before the case comes back and I can start actually building and modding and things.

To tide you over here is a pic of it sat under my desk. Sorry about the poor photo quality my sister nicked the DSLR for the week:
